The two companies plan to promote free riders through their apps, and the White House is sharing the ride – sharing the companies with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other federal agencies. The White House told governors Tuesday that some states have decided not to accept the free riders for their residents because of the declining interest. Biden’s meeting comes as he seeks to provide at least one dose of the vaccine to 70% of American adults by Independence Day, and to fully vaccinate “at least 160 million” people by then.
The government has not released a full list, though Iowa is among those that do not need additional vaccine stocks, given current demand.
