Nakhonratchasima, Thailand - May 31, 2020 : Tik Tok application information icon on Apple iPhone 8 close-up,finger about to touch it.which is a popular social media network is app to create and share videos on the internet.

Beijing, PRC – ByteDance, the parent company of Tik Tok had to apologize for a flaw in the system as the iOS14 revealed it can detect when third party apps are trying to access the user’s clipboard.

A notification pops up whenever the clipboard has been lurked on which puts Tik Tok in a bad light as it had promised earlier to remove that function as it’s considered “spammy” as it was checking even with a few keystrokes even while being just in the background.

Tik Tok is a video platform where millions of people around the world record small videos to share with the Tik Tok community that helps turn regular people into overnight celebrities if their talent goes viral in the Tik Tok universe.  India, however, declared they would be banning Tikl Tok and other Chinese apps to protect them from data leaks.

“Following the beta release of iOS 14 on June 22, users saw notifications while using a number of popular apps. For TikTok, this was triggered by a feature designed to identify repetitive, spammy behavior, committed to protecting users’ privacy and being transparent about how our app works.”  the spokesperson said.

TikTok has hit  red flags before in it’s practices for past security issues; in February 2019, the company had to pay $5.7 million to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) over alleged violations of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule), a children’s privacy law.

Tik Tok had  been allowing children under 13 years old to sign up for the app without parental consent, meaning it was barely monitored for which Tik Tok does have a lot of explicit content. It’s since made changes to the app that increased parental controls so parents could control what children can access.

Government agencies in the US consisting of the Navy, the Army, Transportation Security Administration, the State Department of Homeland Security and others have banned the use of Tik Tok on any work phones or devices issued by the government due to the company still answering to the CCP.

The app has had to undergo extreme scrutiny as it was reacently banned to all the populace of India of the word of their Prime Minister Modi, who sated it was data leaks but it could be just a coincidence that China attacked the border not to long ago that resulted 12 indian soldiers dead.
