The White House has announced that President Joe Biden will accompany his wife, Queen Elizabeth II, to England and Belgium in June for their first visit to the United States since their election in 2008.
President Joe Biden will visit the UK next week with Queen Elizabeth II to meet her at a summit of the Group of Seven leaders, Buckingham Palace has announced. The palace said on Thursday that the monarch will host the president and first lady Jill Biden for the summit in Cornwall, England, at Windsor Castle from June 11-13. President Biden and first ladies Jill and Jill will meet Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle, the White House confirmed Thursday morning. Queen Elizabeth VII and Queen Mary, Queen of England and Wales, as well as the President of the United States and his wife, President Joe Biden, will meet King George VI, Prime Minister David Cameron and other heads of state and government in London on 12 and 13 June.
The Group of Seven summit, scheduled for June 11-13, is the first visit by a US president since he took office in January. The monarch will greet the commander-in-chief and his wife at Windsor Castle, marking the start of a three-day visit to Britain by the President of the United States. After meeting the Queen, meetings with Prime Minister David Cameron and other world leaders will follow on 12 and 13 June.
The Queen, who has met 12 US presidents in the past 70 years, will host Trump for a state visit in June 2019.
The Biden visit follows the Queen’s recent visit to the United States, where questions have been raised about her relationship with her husband Prince Philip. The Bidens met the Queen on the sidelines of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Summit in London last week. Biden paid tribute to Prince Philip, saying: “The Duke is a crazy guy.”
The newspaper also reported that documents show that in the 1970s, the Queen and her staff were able to negotiate with government officials to exempt the royal family from a law banning discriminatory hiring practices, which continues to prevent royal employees from suing for alleged workplace discrimination.

It is reported that her cousin, the Duke of Kent, will accompany her to the event and will take her to the Trooping of the Colour at Windsor Castle. It will be a busy week for the Queen, as the day Her Majesty will meet Joe and Jill Biden is a day of encounter. A ceremony is reportedly scheduled to take place at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Saturday 22 April, with the President and First Lady also attending.
It is the first time the monarch has met her 13th president since she acceded to the throne in 1952. The Queen’s husband, Prince Philip, and his wife, Queen Elizabeth II, will also attend the ceremony, although he will not be able to attend as he has recovered from surgery.
